We’re thrilled to present the third episode of Scailyte’s Endometriosis Awareness Series, where Cinzia Donato interviews Dr. Alina Staikov on “The psychological and economic impact of endometriosis”.

Dr. Staikov is a specialized gynecologist with a wealth of experience in the field. She completed her medical studies at the University of Sofia and specialized in gynecology and obstetrics at the Ruppiner Kliniken, an educational hospital of Charité in Berlin. Her passion for women’s health led her to establish gynecological and obstetrical consulting at the Center for Integrative Medicine in Zurich and work as a senior specialist at Seespital Horgen. Dr. Staikov is also certified in educational programs in gynecology and obstetrics.

In 2019, Dr. Staikov founded Gynpoint, a gynecology and obstetrics practice with locations in Zurich and Horgen, where she offers the whole spectrum of modern diagnostics and therapeutics. With over 7000 patients consulted each year, she has gained invaluable insights into the challenges faced by women with endometriosis.

Dr. Staikov plays an essential role in raising awareness of endometriosis as a collaborator with the Endometriosevereinigung-Schweiz. Her dedication to educating and supporting patients is commendable, and we’re honored to have her share her expertise in our interview.
